How ItReserve API Studio connects to Reservit

API Studio connects to your Reservit account using your API key and reads the complete data structure exposed by the Reservit API — room types, rate plans, reservations, folios, channels and more. In the visual mapping interface, you select which Reservit data objects you want to expose through your custom endpoint and define how they map to your preferred output schema using drag-and-drop field mapping.

When your custom endpoint is queried by an external tool — a BI platform, a data warehouse or an internal hotel dashboard — API Studio authenticates the request using the OAuth 2.0 token you configured, fetches the relevant data from Reservit in real time, applies your field mappings, and returns the result in the format your external tool expects. The Reservit API call is made server-side by API Studio; your external tool never needs its own Reservit API access.

Webhook forwarding works by registering a webhook endpoint on the Reservit API that points to API Studio's intake URL. When Reservit fires a webhook event — a new reservation, a rate change, a cancellation — API Studio receives it, applies any configured transformations or filters, and forwards it to your specified internal endpoint. This makes API Studio an intelligent relay that bridges Reservit's event model to whatever internal architecture your property's technical team maintains.

No. API Studio is designed for property managers and revenue managers with no coding experience. The endpoint builder and field mapping interface are entirely visual. You describe what data you want to expose and how you want it structured, and API Studio handles the API calls to Reservit and the data transformation without requiring any code to be written.

Yes. API Studio creates custom JSON or CSV endpoints that connect to any BI tool capable of querying a URL — including Power BI, Tableau, Metabase and Google Looker Studio. The connection is set up in your BI tool using the API Studio endpoint URL and your OAuth token. Data refreshes at your BI tool's configured interval.

API Studio custom endpoints inherit the ItReserve API's rate limit of 100 requests per minute per token. Each custom endpoint has its own rate limit counter, so multiple endpoints can receive traffic simultaneously without competing against each other.
