How ItReserve Channel Bridge connects to Reservit

A module-specific breakdown of the API connection process, data flow and write-back behaviour.

When you activate Channel Bridge, the module authenticates to your Reservit account using the API key you supply in the ItReserve dashboard. On first connection it reads your complete list of room types, rate plans and current availability from the Reservit availability API. This data is mapped against Channel Bridge's internal channel schema and pushed to each selected niche OTA in the format that platform expects.

Ongoing synchronisation runs every 5 minutes for availability and within 60 seconds for rate changes. When Reservit records a new reservation — whether from a native Reservit channel or from a Channel Bridge-connected platform — Channel Bridge reads the updated availability count and immediately pushes the decrement to all connected niche channels. This two-way flow ensures that inventory shown on niche OTAs is always consistent with what your Reservit account holds.

Reservations received through Channel Bridge-connected channels are written back into Reservit as standard reservation records within 60 seconds of booking confirmation on the OTA. Channel Bridge uses Reservit's reservation creation endpoint to post the full booking details — guest name, room type, dates, rate plan, channel source — so the booking appears natively in your Reservit booking list alongside reservations from any other source.

No. Channel Bridge only manages channels that are not in Reservit's native channel list. It does not touch or duplicate any OTA connection you have configured directly inside Reservit. Your Booking.com, Expedia and other native Reservit channels remain entirely unchanged.

Mapping a new channel typically takes 20–40 minutes for a property with up to six room types. The mapping wizard guides you through linking your Reservit room types and rate plans to the channel's schema. Once mapping is saved, the channel receives its first availability and rate push within 5 minutes.
